Ignite the Fire...

I grew up with dreams of being an entrepreneur.  I wanted to be a creator.  Someone who left my stamp on the world.  In fact, I chose to get my masters in accounting with the idea that it was a well-rounded degree that would serve me well in my pursuit to start a business.  I spent the first 12 years of my working career climbing the corporate ladder.  Unfortunately, I had completely lost site of my original goal and didn't take control of my personal finances with any meaning or purpose.  Money would come in, I'd save a bit for my 65 year old self/family, and I'd spend the rest.  As time has gone on, I've become less enamored with spending all day implementing someone else's vision, and the desire to carve out my own niche in this world has returned.  I realized that money was a matchstick waiting to be lit.  If I changed my mindset surrounding money and had it work for me, rather than me working for it; I could build enough of a financial runway to pursue my dreams.

I don't think that my former mindset is unique.  Different people have different hangups around money, but they all lead to the same place.  This is why I want to be a financial coach.  I want to work with people that have all of the talent and creativity in the world, but are limiting themselves because their preconceived notions surrounding money are torpedoing their ability to create.  Student loan debt is at an all-time high and is stamping out the confidence to turn dreams into action.  It's manageable, but it has to be addressed with the resolve of a fire breathing dragon.

If you radically change how you think about money, you can radically change how life is defined.  Work with me and develop a baseline understanding of how to translate your life goals into a financial plan.  This isn't about money.  This is about life.  Live a fulfilling one.
